I'm Martin, the founder & Director of This One Is.

This One Is started with a simple idea: choosing supplements shouldn't feel confusing.

There are thousands of supplements available, with different ingredients, forms, amounts and claims. It can be difficult to know what matters, what doesn't, and what information you can actually rely on.

I wanted to create something different.

My role is to ask the questions our customers want answered — and sometimes the questions they may not have thought to ask. I want to understand what matters when choosing a supplement and make sure we have the information needed to give you a straightforward answer.

Gathering the right information

I'm not a nutritionist or medical professional, and I'm not here to pretend to be one.

Where information needs specialist or technical knowledge, we collaborate with appropriate specialists and use reliable sources, current UK guidance and the available evidence. We also work with manufacturers to understand the products we're considering and the standards and processes behind them.

We take the time to ask questions, check the information and understand the evidence behind the products we offer.

Our aim is simple: to give you information you can understand and have confidence in.

Keeping things clear

Our aim isn't to overwhelm you with technical information either.

Some subjects require detail, and we'll give you that detail where it's useful. But we'll always try to explain it in straightforward language.

If something is complicated, we'll do our best to make it easier to understand rather than making you work it out for yourself.

And if the evidence isn't clear, we'll say so.

Why This One Is exists

Ultimately, I want This One Is to make choosing supplements feel a little less complicated.

We won't tell you that one product is right for everyone. We won't pretend that taking a supplement is a substitute for a healthy diet or professional advice. And we won't make claims simply because they sound good.

We'll give you the information we've considered, explain why we've chosen the products we offer and let you make your own informed decision.
